Application Process

                  ATTENDANCE AREA APPLICATION PROCESS
PLEASE NOTE:  THIS APPLIES ONLY IF YOU LIVE WITHIN THE ATTENDANCE AREA FOR THE SCHOOL *
Families living within the boundary for Lincoln Park High School obtain certain advantages as it pertains to admissions.  If you live in the attendance boundaries, then you can enroll in the IB-MYP Double Honors or Honors program without applying, just like many of us did with our neighborhood high schools growing up.  Either a counselor from LPHS will arrange to come to your child's elementary school or please check on the lincolnparkhs.org website to see dates for neighborhood registration.  At this time you will have to provide proof of address and will be able to select your classes.

You will have access to all the classes offered at that level during freshman and sophomore year. Students meet with their counselors before the start of the school year to customize a schedule that meets their academic needs and rigor.  Should you live in the attendance boundaries, you are also able to take Performing Arts/Visual Arts classes depending on your prior academic experience.  After the IB-MYP Programme which finishes at the end of Sophomore year, you are then able to choose from a variety of AP and IB subject courses, in addition to the other courses offered at this level.

Should you wish to transfer to the IB-Diplomma Programme at any point in the first two years at LPHS, you can meet with your counselor to determine the changes necessary to do to.

Attendance area students interested in the International Baccalaureate Preparatory Diploma Programme must follow the Chicago Public School IB application process (See below instructions) If you live in the attendance area and wish to enroll in this program, you are automatically awarded 50 extra points to assist in your admission to the program but you still MUST apply though www.cpsoae.org.

If you are interested in applying to the drama program, you must audition for the program.  This is a separate process for all students regardless of whether or not you live in the attendance boundaries.  Again, specific information can be found at lincolnparkhs.org.
